To develop Peace House (working title) as an inspiring, affordable and vibrant residential community for people who have dedicated their lives to making a difference in North Minneapolis.

There are many people working tirelessly to make a difference in the community. What would it be like if these people had affordable, inspiring homes to retire to at the end of the day? Places of rest and delight in which they could relax, rejuvenate, collaborate with others over dinner, host community meetings, etc. Peace House is just that place with four furnished apartments dedicated to people who have committed their lives to making a difference in the community. The backyard will be transformed into “Angela’s Garden” and will serve as both a sanctuary for residents and a gathering space for the community, complete with gazebo for performance poetry, music and story-telling.

When the renovation is complete, Peace House will be a beacon of inspiration and hope, and a demonstration of what’s possible when committed individuals, and business and non-profit sectors come together with their unique gifts and resources in the pursuit of a common dream.
